Unfortunately the previous owner that tried to short sale to us was in this poor financial situation because he had brain cancer. He later committed suicide. I know he wanted us to have that house to enjoy and not some scammer to come along and rip it out from under him. We never pursued this legally or any further because I feel that the way this company behaved will one day have its own consequences. But I would never recommend Rich Creo or Kevin Shaner to anyone. I hope that they read this and see what an awful mess they contributed to. It is truly sad and I am only writing this to prevent anyone else from having the same troubles with them. It is just really sad that someone could be so evil. We now own a home we are happy with, but this experience truly needs to be told to future potential homeowners.
This company's employees are a scam. We found Rich Creo off of Dave Ramsey's website as an endorsed provider. We wanted to buy our first house short sale and we personally knew the previous owner. The owner filled out all of Rich Creo and Kevin Shaner's paperwork for us and we turned it in to Creo and Shaner. This paperwork included all of the information that the homeowner knew, like debts still to be paid and financial information that could benefit the buyer and not the bank. This paperwork also gave Creo and Shaner authorization to discuss details with the bank without the owner's direct authorization for every detail. After the paperwork was filled out we called several times and received no answer from Rich Creo or Kevin Shaner. We never heard about the house until we saw that it was being flipped and renovated by someone. The house was then resold by Kevin Shaner. Shaner's business is about 35 minutes from the house in a totally different area. I don't believe this was a coincidence. I have assumptions that Shaner worked with a flipper to get double commissions when he resold it and to gain more business with the flipper later on through getting him this deal.
